Web Photos |
Send
in your webs! I have heaps of photos of spiders, but very few of
webs, so send them in!
I'll pick a
"WEB OF THE MONTH "
or maybe year going by the lack of photos at present, and feature it
in larger size. There are 2 types of spiders, the hunting spiders
like the wolf spiders and tarantulas and the web spinning spiders
like the Argiopes and Garden Orb Weavers. All spiders can spin silk
but only the web spinning spiders spin webs for their homes.
Many thanks for allowing me to use these photos. All photos are
copyright to their owners and may not be reproduced without
permission.

Hi Glen - I'm so chuffed to find a a site such as yours. I've
just bought my first digicam and have gone a bit spider-crazy! I
see you're after web pics...web 1 is quite nice, the other 2
attached pics are more spiders interacting with their webs (
best viewed in a dark room.
Got a lot more, too,
loads of spider pics at
http://www.esnips.com/web/dhollseedsPhotos
with regular updates.
If you have a couple of minutes you might be able to solve this
mystery:

A photographer from USA took a picture of this guy and I have
the same fella in my garden here in north Germany (pics via
link)...maybe you know what it is?
Thanks for your time and keep up the good work!

From what we can tell this is a type of
Orb Weaver about the size of a peanut.

Hi,
I am a brand new fan of your website,
Long time fan of Spidies.
Here are a couple web shots for your collection and competition.
Thanks to you, I know this to be a male "Garden Orb Weaver".
The female lives out back and is much larger.
THANK YOU for what you do!!!

I understand you're in want of some
web photos. I have attached two.
The spiders are there also… I hope you don't mind.

Hello, I found this spider on my deck in Northern Lake
County, IL. I can not identify it and was looking for some
guidance. I tried to get the best pic I could, unfortunetly
the spider kind of curled up on my and I couldn't get the
front of him. I hope you can find some info on the pic I
could get.
Thank you for your time. God bless.
